Hi Tom, I really appreciate the work you do especially your emphasis on boxing fundamentals. I have a question, when moving backwards with the jab you teach to move the front foot first where I was taught to move the back foot first. Is there a con to moving the back foot first and jabbing at the same time?

The jab lands Simultaneously as the lead foot lands on the floor not the back foot. If you throw it when the back foot lands then you can’t throw the right hand going backwards without bringing the front foot back first which is a significant loss in time. Your footwork will always have a hitch.
